WONDERS IN TNM SUPER LEAGUE WEEK 2

Silver strikers are on top of the TNM Super League after smashing Bangwe All Stars 3-1 at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe. They played two games and have six points so far. The Central Bankers have 5 goals scored and conceded a single goal in all two games.

Creck Sporting Club are on second place. They played two games and have six points, they scored 6 goals and conceded 2 in all games that they played in the league so far. Creck beat Moyare Barracks yesterday by 3-2 from behind at Civil Stadium in Lilongwe.

In other matches Might Mukuru Wanderers destroy fomo FC by 3-0 at Mulanje park stadium while Chitipa united punish Karonga united by 4-1 at Karonga stadium.

Nomads are on position 4, with 4 points, Chitipa are on 6th with 3 points, Karonga are on 8th with 3 points, Fomo are 9th with 3 points while Bangwe are on bottom of the table.

    Malawi national football team, the flames lost  to Kenya at Bingu National Stadium by 4-0 in the 4-Nations Tournament. The visitors took the lead in seconds of the game through their captain Michael Olunga Ogaga. Ogaga   again added the second goal through the penalty spot  in the 5th minute of the game. Malawi had a chance in the 69th minute when the refereee awarded them a penalty. Suddenly Lloyd Aaron's spot kick was saved by Kenyan goalkeeper Patrick  Matasi. Ayubu Masika scored the third in the 84 minutes before Magambi Naguma made it more worse in the added time by  scoring a beautiful goal at 90+3. This means that Malawi will face Zambia in the third position game while Zimbabwe will face Kenya in the final of the tournament.

Croatia won an international trophy

Croatia were crowned champions of the Egypt international Cup final on Tuesday, 26 , 2024 a tournament that nobody has ever heard of. Croatia beat Egypt after coming from a goal behind to win 4-2. Goals from Nikola Vlasic, Bruno Petkovic, Andrej Kramaric and Lovro Majer ensured success. An official trophy presentation saw Croatia lift the title in front of a rather empty stadium. Initially the tournament was set to be called the Winsunited Cup and take place in Abu Dhabi but was moved for sponsorship reasons.
