Ukraine Ambush Iceland to qualify Euro 2024

 Ukraine national football team will compete in the finals of a major tournament for the first time since being invaded by Russia after Mykhailo Mudryk's winner in their Euro 2024 play-off final against Iceland.

Ukraine were down at half-time by a goal to zero after Albert Gudmundsson put Iceland ahead with a fantastic strike that ended into the net.

Ukraine came from behind in the second half, levelling  the game at 54 minute through Viktor Tsygankov assisted by Sudakov , before  Mudryk's score a late goal at  84 minute assisted by Sudakov. The late goal help the Ukrainians to qualify for Euro 2024.


Ukraine will go into Group E at the Euro 2024 finals, alongside Belgium, Slovakia and Romania.

    Malawi national football team, the flames lost  to Kenya at Bingu National Stadium by 4-0 in the 4-Nations Tournament. The visitors took the lead in seconds of the game through their captain Michael Olunga Ogaga. Ogaga   again added the second goal through the penalty spot  in the 5th minute of the game. Malawi had a chance in the 69th minute when the refereee awarded them a penalty. Suddenly Lloyd Aaron's spot kick was saved by Kenyan goalkeeper Patrick  Matasi.   Telecommunications company Airtel Limited Malawi is completing its final year of collaboration with the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) as the primary sponsor of the annual Airtel Top 8 tournament, there are no clear indications that the deal might be renewed. Airtel Managing Director Charles Kamoto did not provide insights into the status of their partnership with FAM on Tuesday night during the Airtel Top 8 Awards ceremony in Blantyre. However, FAM president Fleetwood Haiya hinted that there is a possibility that the partnership might continue, owing to ongoing discussions regarding the review of regulations governing the competition. Young Queens punish Namibia

The Malawi Under 21 National Netball Team has thumped Namibia 48-23 in its first group match at the Netball World Youth Cup Africa Qualifiers. The young Queens were in control in all quarters. In first quarter Malawi lead Namibia by 9-4, in second quarter 24-9, third quarter 35-14, before wrapping victory in the final quarter. The tournament is taking place in South Africa with seven nations participating. The next game for Malawi will be on Tuesday against Kenya.
