IVORY COAST REACH AFCON SEMI-FINALS

 Ivory coast book African Cup of Nation semi-finals after defeating Mali 2-1 at the stadium of peace in Bouak. Before the first half Odion Kossounou sent off after he received second yellow card on 43 minutes.This force the Elephants to play ten men down.On 71th minute Nene Dergeles scores for Mali.

The Elephants didn't lose hope with the goal instead they fight back wave after wave,and it was not surprised that on 90th minute Ivory coast equaliser from Simon Adiagra.

At the end of 90th minute the game was on level this force the game to go to extra time and Diakit completed a thrilling comeback by scoring in what was the 112nd minute of the game.

It prompted wild celebrations among nearly 40,000 fans in the stadium of peace in the Bouak and beyond.Diakit was booked for excessive celebrations and was sent off as it was his second yellow card.Him and Odion will miss semi-final against DR Congo on Wednesday.

  Burnley coach Vincent Kompany insists his team will continue to retain belief they can avoid relegation from the Premier League, despite dropping more points from a winning position against West Ham.
